Seven Seals: Wisdom to the Messianic Community

The Son of Man Coming with clouds:

The disciples of Yeshua, in Matthew 24:3, ask Him “Tell us, when will these things be [Destruction of the Temple]? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”         NKJV

Matt 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the

earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power

and great glory.

Dan 7:13 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming

with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before

Him. 14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and

languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away,

and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.                                        NKJV

Revelation 1:7-8

7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who

pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. 8 I

am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who

was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Who wrote the book of Revelation?

Revelation 1:9-10

9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience

of Yeshua the Messiah, was on the island that is called Patmos  (Roman imprisonment) for the

(preaching of the) word of God and for the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah. 10 I was in the Spirit on

the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet…..

What is the “Lord’s Day”? or “The Day of the Lord?

Is it Sunday? The answer is No!

(The seventh day is the “Day of the Lord”- The Sabbath ~ pronounced “Shabbat” in Hebrew)

It refers to the “The Day of Atonement” ~ called in Hebrew “Yom Kippur”

That day was also called “The Day of Judgment” (Yom HaDin) by the rabbis of Israel which

is the day that God will judge the Nations of the World!

1 Thes. 5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should

write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief

in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon

them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.                       NKJV

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens

will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth

and the works that are in it will be burned up.  NKJV

Revelations 1:11…saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and,

What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to

Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden

lampstands (menorahs)…….             NKJV

Seven Branch Menorah: A Symbolic Picture of Israel

Zech 4:1 Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is

wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I said, “I am looking, and

there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with

seven pipes to the seven lamp.

Why was John given the symbol of the menorah, as a revelation of the Messianic Community?

Romans 11:17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree,

were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the

olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not

support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off

that I might be grafted in.“        NKJV

Lampstand – Menorah  (Symbolism of Construction) –Read Exodus 25:31-40

7 Lamps – (7 = Fullness or Perfection)

6 Branches – (6= Man, Flesh, Works)

3 Branches on each side – (3 = Perfect Unity)

1 Shaft (Central Vine) – (1 = Oneness, Lordship)

Seven Lamps of the Menorah

Isaiah 11:2 (Each lamp of the menorah represents a ministry of the Holy Spirit)

1.  The Spirit of the Lord

2.  The Spirit of Wisdom

3.  The Spirit of Understanding

4.  The Spirit of Counsel

5.  The Spirit of Might

6.  The Spirit of Knowledge

7.  The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord

2.  Syrmna: He who was dead, and is now alive

3.  Pergamos: He who has the sharp 2-edged Sword

4.  Thyatira: He who has eyes like fire, feet like brass

5.  Sardis: He who has the 7 Spirits of God

6.  Philadelphia: He who has the Key of David

7.  Laodicea: He who is the Amen, Faithful Witness, Beginning [Chief] of the Creation of God

John (whose name means “Beloved”) was “caught-up” through an “open door” in heaven,

before the throne of God, by the voice of a trumpet (ram’s horn ~ shofar in Hebrew), saying

“Come up here!” This is a revelation of the “Rapture” of the Complete Church of Yeshua The Messiah

(Messiah ~ which means “Anointed One” in Hebrew) in Revelation 4:1. This the “open door”

promise given to the church of Philadelphia (Brotherly Love) in Rev. 3:7-13.

In chapter 5 Seven Seals are revealed to him:

Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside

and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud

voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or on

the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. 4 So I wept much, because

no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. 5 But one of the elders said

to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed

to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” 6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the

throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it

had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God

(sevenfold ministry of the Holy Spirit – Read Isaiah 11:1-2) sent out into all the earth. 7 Then

He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.       NKJV

Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end;

many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”      NKJV

4. Fourth Seal: Grey Horse

5. Fifth Seal: Martyred Souls

6. Sixth Seal: Day of Wrath (Read Isaiah 34:1-4)

7. Seventh Seal: Trumpets & Incense [and Silence]

(Feast of Trumpets & Yom Kippur)

Revelation 8:1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpet [7 shofars] were given to them.

Why “half an hour”?

Luke 1:5 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years. 8 Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division [24 courses], 9 according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the Temple of the Lord and burn incense. …21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the Temple.

Gill’s Exposition of the Bible: Luke 1:21 And the people waited for Zacharias…. That were without [outside], in the court of the Israelites [at the Temple], praying there, while he was offering incense: these were waiting for his coming out, in order to be blessed by him, according to Numbers 6:23 and be dismissed: and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple; beyond the usual time of burning incense; which might be occasioned either by a longer discourse of the angel with him than what is here related. Or being struck with amazement at the sight and hearing of the angel, he might continue long musing on this unexpected appearance and relation; or he might spend some time not only in meditation upon it, but in mental prayer, confession, and thanksgiving. The High Priest, when he went in to burn incense on the Day of Atonement, “made a short prayer in the outward house, (in the temple,) and he did not continue long in his prayer.., “that he might not affright” the Israelites”, thinking that he was dead; for many high priests that were unfit for, or made alteration in the service, died in the holy of holies.

According to the Talmud, the priests, especially the chief priests, were accustomed to spend only a short time in the sanctuary, otherwise it was feared that they had been Main by God for unworthiness or transgression.

Verses of the “silence” when HaShem’s Presence is in the Temple [like on Yom Kippur]:

Habakkuk 2:20 But the Lord is in His Holy Temple; let all the earth be silent before him.”

Tehillim / Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Zecharyah / Zech. 2:14 [10] “Sing, daughter of Tziyon; rejoice! For, here, I am coming; and I will live among you,” says Adonai. 15 [11] When that time comes, many nations will join themselves to Adonai. “They will be my people, and I will live among you.” Then you will know that it was Adonai-Tzva’ot who sent me to you. 16 [12] Adonai will take possession of Y’hudah as his portion in the holy land, and he will again make Yerushalayim his choice. 17 [13] Be silent, all humanity, before Adonai; for he has been roused from his holy dwelling.’”

Revelation 8:3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.

Tehillim / Psalm 141:2 May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Revelation 8:4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

5. Fallen Star with key to Bottomless Pit unleashes demonic locust

6. Four Angels released from Euphrates River to kill a third of sinful  mankind

7. Mystery of God Finished: Heavenly Temple opened & Ark of the Covenant is seen

Rev. 11:15 The seventh angel blew his trumpet [shofar], and there were loud voices in heaven saying: The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever! 16 The 24 elders, who were seated before God on their thrones, fell facedown and worshiped God, 17 saying: We thank You, Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. 18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.” 19 Then the Temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His Temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

Tehillim / Psalm 58:11 So that men will say, “Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.”

Yeshayahu / Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord God shall come with a strong hand, and His Arm [Messiah] shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.

Yeshayahu / Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the Arm of the Lord [Messiah] been revealed?

2 Thes 2:3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s Temple, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
