Day 38 of 40 Day Fast from Negative Thinking 1

Day 38

“My Financial Needs are not being met!”

Let’s reject the negative thought that says, “My Financial Needs are not being met!”

Today is the 38th Day of counting the Omer [referring to the Barley Harvest], as a “Countdown to Shavuot [Pentecost -50th Day]”.  The 49-day “Counting of the Omer” from the Day of Firstfruits retraces our ancestors’ seven-week spiritual journey from the Exodus to Sinai.

THIRTY is Hebraically numbered by the:

12th HEBREW LETTER –LAMED ל #12 : It is used to represent the NUMBER 30 [SH’LOSHIM in Hebrew]: It comes the root LAMAD [to study and learn]. It is pictographically a “OX GOAD” [to prod the animal along; or a teaching rod] or “SHEPHERD’S STAFF”, that speaks of the AUTHORITY to TEACH or LEAD. This is the age of the PRIESTHOOD, and RABBINICAL AUTHORITY.

PLUS WE ADD THE 8th HEBREW LETTER CHET#8 ח: It is used to represent the NUMBER 8 [SH’MONAH for masculine, and SH’MONEH for feminine in Hebrew – from Shemen: oil; to be fully ripe, or plump like an olive]:

It is pictographically a “FENCE” or a “BOUNDARY”, just like the HEBREW WORDChai”, meaning “life” [protected by a “fence”]. This is what the rabbis, and “Sages of Blessed Memory”, were instructed to do: “Make many disciples, and put “fences” around the commandments [of the Torah], to protect “life”, and the intergrity of HaShem’s Holy Word. Eight Hebraically refers to NEW BEGINNINGS, and speaks of a FRESH START, like the EIGHT PEOPLE on NOAH’S ARK.

Together the LAMED, an “Ox Goad” , or “Shepherd’s Staff: [from LAMAD: to learn] and CHET [a “FENCE” that creates a “BOUNDARY”, like a sheepfold], speaks of the SAFE-ZONE of PROTECTION that the SHEPHERD .

THREE PRINCIPLES OF EXPERIENCING THE SHEPHERD OF ISRAEL’S PROVISION:

Step 1 – SEEK FIRST HASHEM’S KINGDOM AND KNOW THAT ALL BLESSINGS COME FROM HIM:

a. Matthew 6:33 But SEEK FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these THINGS shall be ADDED to you.

b.  James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Step 2 – DECLARE HASHEM’S COVENANTAL PROMISE OF PROVISION OVER YOUR LIFE:

a.  Psalm 23:1-3 The LORD is my SHEPHERD; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters. He RESTORES my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness. For His Name’s sake.

b. David DECLARED HaShem as, the “SHEPHERD of Israel” (Psalm 80:2). In addition, he refers to Israel as, “the SHEEP of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3). A psalm can have several levels of meaning, and the Midrash on Psalm 23 teaches that this psalm is also the song of Israel. Israel is saying, “Hashem is my SHEPHERD,” and the Midrash [rabbinical explanation] explains that this is a reference to the way Hashem guided Israel and provided Israel with all its needs during the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land.

c. Ezekiel 34:11 ‘For thus says the LORD GOD [the True SHEPHERD ]: “Indeed I Myself will SEARCH for My SHEEP and SEEK them out.

d. Ezekiel 34:11 I will FEED them in a good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel. I will FEED My flock, and I will cause them to LIE DOWN [REST], says the Lord GOD. I will SEEK the lost, and bring again those driven away, and will BIND up the broken, and will STRENGTHEN the sick….

Step 3 – WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HASHEM AND EXPECT HIS ABUNDANCE:

a. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 “If you listen closely to what Adonai your God says, observing and obeying all his mitzvot [COMMANDMENTS] which I am giving you today, Adonai your God will raise you high above all the nations on earth; and all the following BLESSINGS will be yours in ABUNDANCE – if you will do what Adonai your God says: “A BLESSING on you in the city, and a BLESSING on you in the countryside. “A BLESSING on the fruit of your body, the fruit of your land and the fruit of your livestock – the young of your cattle and flocks. “A BLESSING on your grain-basket and kneading-bowl. “A BLESSING on you when you go out, and a blessing on you when you come in. “Adonai will cause your enemies attacking you to be defeated before you; they will advance on you one way and flee before you seven ways. “Adonai will order a BLESSING to be with you in your barns and in everything you undertake; he will BLESS you in the land Adonai your God is giving you. …”Adonai will give you great ABUNDANCE of good things – of the fruit of your body, the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land in the land Adonai swore to your ancestors to give you. Adonai will open for you his GOOD TREASURE, the sky, to give your land its rain at the right seasons and to BLESS everything you undertake. You will lend to many nations and not borrow; Adonai will make you the head and not the tail; and you will be only above, never below – if you will listen to, observe and obey the mitzvot [COMMANDMENTS] of Adonai your God…

b. 1 John 3:22 …Whatever we ask, we RECEIVE from Him, because we keep His COMMANDMENTS and do those things that are PLEASING in His sight….1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His COMMANDMENTS. For this is the love of God, that we keep His COMMANDMENTS, and His COMMANDMENTS are not burdensome.

c.  2 Cor. 9:10-12 He who PROVIDES both seed for the planter and bread for food will SUPPLY and MULTIPLY your seed and INCREASE the harvest of your tzedakah [RIGHTEOUS ACT OF GIVING].  You will be enriched in every way, so that you can be generous in everything. And through us your generosity will cause people to thank God, because rendering this holy service not only PROVIDES for the NEEDS of God’s people, but it also overflows in the many thanks people will be giving to God.

Think It, Say It & Do It!:

I SEEK FIRST HASHEM’S KINGDOM because ALL BLESSINGS COME FROM HIM! I DECLARE HASHEM’S COVENANTAL PROMISE OF PROVISION OVER MY LIFE, as I WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HASHEM AND EXPECT HIS ABUNDANCE, in Yeshua’s Name! Shalom Y’all!
