Day 31 of 40 Day Fast from Negative Thinking

Day 31

“I feel unsuccessful!”

Let’s reject the negative thought that says, “I feel unsuccessful!”

Today is the 31st Day of counting the Omer [referring to the Barley Harvest], as a “Countdown to Shavuot [Pentecost]”.  The 49-day “Counting of the Omer” from the Day of Firstfruits retraces our ancestors’ seven-week spiritual journey from the Exodus to Sinai.

THIRTY is Hebraically numbered by the:

12th HEBREW LETTER –LAMED ל #12 : It is used to represent the NUMBER 30 [SH’LOSHIM in Hebrew]: It comes the root LAMAD [to study and learn]. It is pictographically a “OX GOAD” [to prod the animal along; or a teaching rod] or “SHEPHERD’S STAFF”, that speaks of the AUTHORITY to TEACH or LEAD. This is the age of the PRIESTHOOD, and RABBINICAL AUTHORITY.

PLUS THE FIRST HEBREW LETTERALEPH א #1: It is used to represent the NUMBER 1 [ECHAD in Hebrew]: It is the pictographically an “OX HEAD”, and is a symbol of “strength” – Prov. 14:4.

TOGETHER the ALEF [letter #1 אfor the number 1] and LAMAD [letter #12 ל : for the number 30] spells EL אֵל . The Two Pictographs together reveal “Strength of Authority” or “Strong Leader”. These Two Letters in Hebrew, describe God [EL אֵל ] as  the “STRONG ONE” or “SOVEREIGN ONE” in our lives.

Josiah [Yoshiyah “Yah is the Foundation”] reigned THIRTY-ONE years in Jerusalem. (2 Kings 22:1)

THIRTY-ONE kings overcame at the west of the Jordan by Joshua and the Israelites. (Joshua 12:24)

The Hebrew term EL אֵל , the shortened form of ELOHIM אֱלֹהִים , is the HEBREW WORD for “God”, and it signifies a number or factor of DIETY, as CREATOR of ALL THINGS. The Bible speaks of God’s SOVEREIGNTY and DIVINE AUTHORITY in CREATION, and gives Him all the glory as the creator of everything. There are THIRTY-ONE verses in Genesis chapter ONE. Further, the Hebrew word ELOHIM, which has as its first part the syllable EL, occurs in this chapter THIRTY-ONE times. In Genesis chapter 1 every time the word God is seen in the English translation it is the Hebrew word ELOHIM.

a. Gen. 15:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God [EL SHADDAI]. WALK before me, and be PERFECT [Tamim in Hebrew: COMPLETE; WITHOUT BLEMISH; WHOLE-HEARTED].

b. Gen. 48:15 And he BLESSED Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did WALK [in OBEDIENCE], the God which fed me all my life long unto this day.

c. 1 Kings 2:4 [King David said to his son, Solomon] “And keep the charge of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law [TORAH] of Moses, so that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself. That the LORD may continue his WORD which he spoke concerning me”, saying, “If your children take heed [WALK in OBEDIENCE] to their WAY, to WALK before me in TRUTH with all their HEART and with all their SOUL, there shall not fail you [be cut off], a man on the throne of Israel”.

a. Psalm 119:1-2 ALEPH: Blessed [Ash’rei – אַשְׁרֵי ] are the upright in the WAY, who WALK in the Law [TORAH] of the LORD. Blessed [Ash’rei – אַשְׁרֵי ] are they who keep His testimonies, and who SEEK Him with all the HEART.

b. Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man who has not WALKED in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful. But his DELIGHT is only in the Law [TORAH] of the LORD; and in His Law [TORAH] he MEDITATES day and night.

c. Joshua 1:1-3,5,8 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over [WALK OVER to] this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses…as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you….This Book of the Law [TORAH] shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall MEDITATE in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your WAY PROSPEROUS, and then you will have good SUCCESS.

a. 2 Cor 5:7  For we WALK by FAITH, not by SIGHT.

b. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the sound [“kol” in Hebrew – “Voice”] of the LORD God [HASHEM ELOHIM] WALKING in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife HID themselves from the PRESENCE [“Panim” in Hebrew – “FACE”] of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

c. Genesis 5:24 And Enoch WALKED with God; and he was not, for God took him.

d. Hebrews 11:5 By FAITH Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God [ELOHIM] had taken him”. For before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of those who diligently SEEK Him.

Think It, Say It & Do It!:

I WALK IN OBEDIENCE, because I WALK ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF HASHEM in the COOL of the DAY, which causes me to WALK in the kind of FAITH that PLEASES the FATHER, in Yeshua’s Name! Shalom Y’all!
