Day 17 of 40 Day Fast from Negative Thinking

Day 17

“Why am I not Receiving Anything Yet?”

Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “Why am I not Receiving Anything Yet?” Today is the 17 Day of counting the Omer [referring to the Barley Harvest], as a “Countdown to Shavuot [Pentecost]”.  The 49-day “Counting of the Omer” from the Day of Firstfruits retraces our ancestors’ seven-week spiritual journey from the Exodus to Sinai.

SEVENTEEN It is the Seventh Prime Number. Hebraically it is numbered by 10 the letter Yud י #10 : DIVINE ORDER), and ZAYIN ז (#7: Number of COMPLETION). Pictographically it reveals a WEAPON, or Sharp Tool, like a “SICKLE” [ZAYIN], in a HAND [a sign of reaping the final complete harvest].

The numbers together speak of “HaShem’s DIVINE ORDER for COMPLETION”. Let’s believe for the COMPLETION of HaShem’s DIVINE ORDER in our lives, as we learn about HIS HARVEST!

THREE STEPS WE “NEED TO TAKE”:

Step 1 – We need to have “EYES FULL OF LIGHT”, to SEE the ORPORTUNITIES AROUND US:

a. Matt. 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

b. Prov. 22:9 He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

c. He that hath a bountiful eye [good eye ~ Hebrew: tov ayin] shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor. KJV

Yeshua was quoting the wisdom of King Solomon, in Proverbs 22:9, and using a rabbinical concept of a “good eye” as generous, and an “evil eye” as stingy, when talking about money and giving in his “Sermon on the Mount” in Matthew 6:22. Eyes that are dark are blind to the needs around them, while eyes that are illuminated with light, can see clearly when someone is in need, and attempts to meet it.

Step 2 – We need to have the “GOOD EYE”, or BOUNTIFUL EYE, so that we can reap BOUNTIFULLY:

a. 2 Cor. 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written: “ He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, 13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! NKJV

b. Amos 9:13 Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
and the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.

Step 3 – We need to pray to the “LORD OF THE HARVEST, to SEE HaShem’s Plan come to pass in our lives: Matt. 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore PRAY the “LORD OF THE HARVEST” to send out laborers into HIS HARVEST.”

Think It, Say It & Do it!:

I have EYES FULL of LIGHT, that allows me to SEE DIVINE OPPORTUNITIES wher I can SOW SEED. I have the GOOD EYE to SEE HaShem’s BOUNTY of BLESSING, where the REAPERS overtake the SOWERS. TODAY I pray to the LORD OF THE HARVEST to COMPLETE his Plan, in Yeshua’s Name! Shalom Y’all!
