“HaShem is causing this Storm in My Life!”
Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “HaShem is causing this Storm in My Life!”
Today is the 23rd Day of counting the Omer [referring to the Barley Harvest], as a “Countdown to Shavuot [Pentecost]”. The 49-day “Counting of the Omer” from the Day of Firstfruits retraces our ancestors’ seven-week spiritual journey from the Exodus to Sinai.
TWENTY-THREE is TWENTY and THREE in Hebrew.
TWENTY is Hebraically numbered by the:
11th HEBREW LETTER – KAPH כ #11: Is used to represent the NUMBER 20 [ESRIM in Hebrew]: It is the pictographically and “CLOSED HAND” or HaShem’s Atoning Covering [Like Yom Kippur: the “Day of Atonement” or “HaShem’s Covering”]. The Hebrew Number ESRIM is the plural of ESER . So twenty is also a multiple of DIVINE ORDER. This was also the age that the Men of Israel enlisted into the Army.
PLUS WE ADD THE 3rd HEBREW LETTER – GIMMEL ג #3: Is used to represent the NUMBER 3 [SHALOSHAH for masculine, and SHALOSH for feminine in Hebrew]: It is the pictographically a “CAMEL“, or the “abundant load he carries”. Camels were a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The ROOT of this 3rd letter is GAMAL, which means, to beloaded with benefits, as in Psalm 103:2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His BENEFITS [Root: GAMAL].
TWENTY-THREE is Hebraically reminds us of LEADERS, like Aaron [Aharon in Hebrew], who was Israel’s first HIGH PRIEST, Moses’ [Moshe’s] brother, who died at age hundred and TWENTY-THREE. After Judge Abimelech, Tola was the only judge, who judged Israel TWENTY-THREE years [Judges 10:1-5]; which was 6 generational leaders before Samson, and 8 before Samuel. King Jehoahaz was TWENTY-THREE years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem [2 Kings 23:31]. Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he lived in it. Jair, Manasseh’s son went and took its towns, and called them Havoth-Jair [Chavot-Yair: חַוֹּת יָאִיר “Living places” or “villages of Jair”], which were TWENTY-THREE cities [Num. 32:40-41; 1 Chron. 2:22].
Together TWENTY and THREE speak of the BENEFITS of being ENLISTED in God’s ARMY, living under His Covering Hand of PROTECTION [or SHELTER]:
THREE STEPS TO the BENEFITS & SHELTER OF HASHEM:
Step 1 – STAY IN THE SECRET PLACE OF HIS SHELTER:
a. Psalm 91:1-4: He who dwells in the SECRET PLACE of the Most High [El Elyon], shall abide under the SHADOW of the Almighty [El Shaddai]. I will say of the Lord, “He is my REFUGE and my fortress. My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall COVER you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take REFUGE [SHELTER]. His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
b. Matt. 6:6 But you, when you PRAY, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, PRAY to your Father who is in the SECRET PLACE, and your Father who sees in SECRET will reward you openly.
Step 2 – PROCLAIM HIS PRECIOUS PROMISES & BENEFITS OVER YOUR LIFE:
a. Psalm 103:1-5: Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His BENEFITS:
- Who forgives all your iniquities
- Who heals all your diseases
- Who redeems your life from destruction
- Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender-mercies
- Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
b. 1 Peter 1:1-4 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of [Yeshua the Messiah], to those who have obtained like PRECIOUS FAITH with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior [Yeshua the Messiah]. Grace and peace [shalom] be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of [Yeshua] our Lord, as His Divine Power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and PRECIOUS PROMISES, that through these you may be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Step 3 – DECLARE THAT HASHEM’S SHEKHINAH OF HIS DIVINE PRESENCE IS YOUR REFUGE OF SHELTER:
a. Psalm 46:1-3: God is our REFUGE and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Though its waters roar and be troubled. Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
b. Psalm 61:1-3: Hear my cry, O God. Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me. A strong tower from the enemy; I will abide in Your tabernacle forever. I will trust in the SHELTER [REFUGE] of Your wings. Selah
c. Psalm 62:5-8: My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my ROCK and my salvation. He is my DEFENSE; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory. The rock of my strength, and my REFUGE, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a REFUGE for us. Selah
HaShem couldn’t be causing the Storm in our life, when He declares He is Our Refuge and Shelter from the Storm! We must Model the Messiah, and speak to the Storm that is ragging “PEACE [SHALOM], BE STILL!
Think It, Say It & Do it!::
I STAY IN THE SECRET PLACE OF HIS SHELTER, as I PROCLAIM HIS PRECIOUS PROMISES & BENEFITS OVER MY LIFE. I will DECLARE THAT HASHEM’S SHEKHINAH, or DIVINE PRESENCE IS MY REFUGE & SHELTER, in Yeshua’s Name! Shalom Y’all!
